I've been working on the Lewisham website since October 2005, and helped to get this site into the Society of IT Manager's list of top-rated websites in March 2006.
I'm currently writing content for the Council and developing their CMS using Visual Studio.NET, so that we can bring in RSS feeds and forums and loads of other new functionaility.
I was part of the team that re-branded and re-launced this website in 2004. Since then it's gone on to become one of the most highly regarded local authority websites in the UK. I worked on this website from July 2003 until October 2005.
I built this site as part of my final project during my MSc in 2004. It meets the Web Accessibility Initiative's AAA standard, and I carried out three rounds of usability testing of this site, with a panel of learning disabled website users.
I still maintain this site for Mencap, on a voluntary basis. A re-design is long overdue - I've learnt a lot about graphic design, and loads more web techniques since I built this.
I know a few people who attend this church, and was approached by the priest, Father Michael, and asked to build a content managed website.
I built this site using the Joomla CMS, and have added quite a few plug-ins to achieve various different effects, such as Google maps integration, and slideshows.
